We would be in a very different world if Netscape’s exec team had let Brendan Eich just use scheme as he had planned to.

We would be in a very different world if Netscape’s exec team had let Brendan Eich just use scheme as he had planned to.
Block scoped let would have been there from the start, for one thing, rather than nearly two decades of function scoped var.
