That's why I don't rely on their design. But I also don't write the design from scratch. I use a conversation with the model to build a plan. I let it do the things it thinks is right, and I add corrections where I want to see something different. Or more accurately I "ask questions" which lead the model to making those changes itself. I don't say "use this design pattern here instead" but "Why didn't you choose to use this design pattern instead? What are the tradeoffs that you see?" When I notice a pattern in how the model deviates in how I prefer things, I add additional instructions to the prompt to try to close the gap over time and I get better first shot responses.
