They’re American. Lockheed Martin isn’t part of the gov either. That’s the private/public model in the US.
Are you saying that Lockheed Martin and other defense contractors have not been able to successfully influence US government policy specifically to align with their own interests?

Are they subject to our IP laws? For over a 100 years if you drew anything like a cartoon mouse you got sued by Disney... AI companies ingested all their IP and can now reproduce it in new ways.

I'm not convinced that the invepstein class is, in fact, subject to our laws.
