Astra is some of the worst code I've seen in terms of slop, so the benchmark is kind of surprising to me. Astra gets things right, but I need Claude clean up its slop all the time. Many times I've cut down Astra changes from 1000+ lines to ~100 lines.
astra is great for exploration and planning. once I have a plan, I usually delegate to deepseek flash. its quick and doesn't stray
