We can’t blame the designer of the OS for developers refusing to use their provided APIs.
This situation is identical to when Electron desktop apps that ignore the native menu bars and UI elements. How about all the AI harnesses that refuse to act like a normal posix app where you can pipe and redirect output and all that.
It’s not like desktop operating systems are immune from the same issues of applications violating the design principles of the OS.
What next, give API for program to do thread scheduling and context switching ?
