It used to be free! That's how I got started with it at all. I bought a lifetime pass in 2011 for $50 on the hope it would still be working and get better as time went on. I guess I'm at ~$3/year now and just continue to amortize that cost per year down.

Free software is not about money. It's the freedom to do anything with it, including redistribution. A concept that resists enshittification.
