Can’t wait until someone's decide to tackle Garmin firmwares updates (porting to older or cheaper models what is purely market segmentation and not hardware limitations).

I don't own any Garmin stuff, but it's just been yesterday that I overheard someone in the office ranting about them, and how they are making a custom firmware for it with Claude right now. Are they really this bad?
I’m hoping that someone will tackle Garmin entirely by releasing open source replacement devices ..
