I've been using this dataset for two years now. It's really helped me in game development; specifically being able to use words instead of hex values in things like error messages and modeling palettes. "Blunt Violet" is much easier for me to parse than "0x8d697a".
I use simple Euclidean distance to find the nearest name for each used color. As a sanity check, I keep track of all colors that I have associated with names while the game is running and get a warning message if I ever associate more than one color to a given name. Outside of messing with a colorpicker, I never get that warning, so the perceptual space between names has been great.
Oh, it's yours! Thank you.
