I don't own any Garmin stuff, but it's just been yesterday that I overheard someone in the office ranting about them, and how they are making a custom firmware for it with Claude right now. Are they really this bad?

I don't own any Garmin stuff, but it's just been yesterday that I overheard someone in the office ranting about them, and how they are making a custom firmware for it with Claude right now. Are they really this bad?
It's not bad on release, but it's very frustrating how quick they stop porting new features to one gen old models, basically instantly.
6 months after I bough mine (a 965 FR, top of the line, most recent model at the time), they released the new model 970 with new softwares features they won't port to mine...
