1. Is AI code more defensive than code you'd previously write? Like maybe I'd write one line to call a function and a quick check for exit code, but AI instead writes a dozen lines to gracefully handle different possible failure cases. Is this not others' experience as well?

2. You say AI can and does take shortcuts - I guess it really comes down to whether humans or AI is more likely to take 'shortcuts'?
