Maybe it is people in the US that still don't get it? What you are considering is not relevant to the reality on the ground.
The American Court of Nero is currently torching its Empire, whether it can still be salvaged is yet to be seen.
It is precisely the lack of regulation, the social decay and the "growth agenda" that has driven the country to this point. You don't need Europe as a threat. You are self-destructive enough to do enough damage all by yourselves.
