Go check my history. I am not elon. I am just fed up with all the hate for that guy when he has started atleast ! Companies on premises that have seemed incredibly stupid that then went on to revolutionize an industry. It is unwise to discount his opinion
It was a silly comment, for that I apologize.
As for the hate: I don't think anyone denies his accolades in business. This is about him personally intervening in an active war - sabotaging a countries ability to defend its civilian population. And then lying about it.
If you think unrelated success in business ventures absolves an individual of any responsibility, even when we are talking about war crimes, then that is the aspect about Elon where you and everyone else disagree on. Not about whether flying cars or landing rockets are cool. We all think those are cool.
I think there are a couple kinds of business success and the kind that Elon has had (driving technology decades forward in years to make stupid ideas highly profitable) across multiple different businesses should make every person highly critical of their own internal models when they disagree with his. This doesn't resolve him of responsibility but I would question responsibility for what exactly? He doesn't like killing people and he doesn't like a bunch of corrupt wankers enriching themselves by siphoning off funds earmarked for the war. He translated that into thinking the war should stop, which ends up being pro russian. I disagree with him. I think we should fund the Ukrainians for as long as they are willing to fight and hope that ends with Ukrainian marching in the streets of Moscow to end that threat to the western world for good. That doesnt' make him a criminal, it does loook like he did a few crappy things hiding behind his terms of service and lies, which just makes him more human.
