On a lot of London Underground lines, 5 minutes is considered poor service in rush hour. Every 2 minutes is required to handle the sheer volume of passengers
And yet the tube has poor service a lot. 2 minutes is required but it very, very often isn't met, leading to wild overcrowding on platforms.
"But it's old!"
Okay - that's why it's unreliable, not an excuse for it.
