Software licensing is far more expensive than humans.
In sydney they built a building which cost $100M to be filled with software engineers just to watch and monitor one and now two driver less trains.
Guess which cost more, the building and 100s of software technies and managers or a few dozen drivers ?
The only thing true about that is that they built a building. It didn't cost $100M and they didn't fill it with software engineers, and there are 45 trains, not two! If you want to view the world through a lense of "everything sucks and there's no hope for the future", I mean, I'm sure you can find enough examples, but at least choose ones that are true wouldya?
