i wonder how their system compares to things like perforce which i gather from blogs etc. is better suited for certain cases like large files and huge repos than git.

(e.g. video game companies use different solutions often because of handling of assets which is definitely not a good fit for git?)

they frame it as they redefined something again, as with everything. but did they really?
