Besides, continually engaging with people who literally believe the complete opposite of me is healthy. It's just harder nowadays because people refuse to engage on the basis I'm a Nazi or something.

Will absolutely go nowhere here because it says "Democrat" instead of "Conservative." Tis the way of HN these days. But, doesn't mean the marginalized crowd shouldn't keep trying :)
