I’ve started embracing my grammar flaws and typos. Emails and chats may get a proof, but only from me or another human, then I send it. I’ve deleted Grammarly because I think the flaws make the comms more authentic in the age of AI.
And of course I’ve dropped my use of the em-dash after being accused of being AI myself.
Part of me wants a pure writing device, something that is dedicated to writing and / or maintaining a blog. They exist, but they're a bit expensive for what they are and they don't look very ergonomic. May need to build a Linux boot for a raspberry pi or something.
I'm hanging on to the typewriter em-dash. They'll never take it away from me!
Ever since I learned it's as simple as option-hyphen on a Mac, I've loved the em-dash. Still don't have the hang of typing it on a Chromebook or Windows PC though.
