Mine's quite a bit more advanced, if we're being frank. Though, the way I have things set up should be the default for SOHO stuff. This sort of configuration really is something whose setup can be automated, but never will be for as long as dumbswitches are the go to for SOHO equipment.
Anyway. I guess you and I just have dramatically different opinions on what's difficult. ;)
Possibly. Or maybe you and I did a dramatically different amount of work on our networks. My setup is very much not what should be default for SOHO, for instance.
My point wasn't ever about home users anyway.
