Yes, broad exception catch clauses are simply incorrect code.
Panic is maybe an overreaction, "scratch everything and orderly abort" is sufficient.

Yes, broad exception catch clauses are simply incorrect code.
Panic is maybe an overreaction, "scratch everything and orderly abort" is sufficient.
I'm inclined to say a Panic is absolutely preferable to root auth.
