I see little value in this post. She simply proclaims how "screwed" up HN, Linux, and other communities are, then uses an irrelevant story / anecdote to explain her lack of public participation in open source software. This could have been wrapped up in a tweet along the lines of: "These communities are toxic and screwed up, as I suspected! This reinforces my decision to stay out."
