I doubt a lot of computation occurs outside the brain. I'm assuming most of the neurons, nerves, etc in the gut are used primarily for regulating gut health rather than calculating, reasoning, etc.
People have had their intestines completed removed, liver transplants, kidney transplants, stomach stapled, etc without hurting their intelligence or computational ability. I don't think we can replace the brain like we can elements of the gut.
Certainly, the gut, hormones, etc are important to your physical and emotional well being, but I think it's safe to assume that pretty much all over the computation is happening in our brain.
