One thing I find curious: lots of compiler writing seems to be done in Haskell, but I can hardly find any Haskell-based resources for writing compilers.

Can anyone here please recommend any such resources?

This is a pretty good tutorial that I know of: https://www.stephendiehl.com/llvm/. The author went on to write a book too, though it's still in progress http://dev.stephendiehl.com/fun/

Most compilers are written for fun. That’s the point of the thread.
Also, there is a lot of modern language research is done from the “lens” (heh) of Haskell, or at least the Glasgow school.
