Even with browsers trying to destroy RSS that link is still useful because it lets you pase the normal blog URL directly in the reader to subscribe to the feed.
Honestly, this disregard for existing standards does not make me confident in Bluesky.
There is, however, this feed (https://bsky.app/profile/did:plc:z72i7hdynmk6r22z27h6tvur/fe...) which collects all posts from the Bluesky team. Unfortunately, it's not possible to consume bsky feeds as RSS feeds either, but you can at least subscribe to individual accounts via RSS by appending `/rss` to their profile URL, e.g. https://bsky.app/profile/safety.bsky.app/rss , which is the account that posted the OP's announcement.
