Other companies are also trying to make their product better. If other products are not able to compete this can become a problem for the users.

Yes, in the real world if something is so inconsequential, in practice gets left alone. It hasn't had any effect on the market. This isn't kindergarten, "THAT'S NOT FAIR!!" isn't valid unless it actually matters.
