Can you cast it from the browser? And doesn't support offline, which is important when traveling (the only moment I would use netflix on the phone)

Just tried Netflix, it works perfectly.
Browser, browser, Google OS only (enforced via whitelist).
I tested netflix in firefox mobile and chrome and it does not work (i have ab old phone, oneplus 5t)
