Santander has a 9-figure annual ad spend, more than most startups are worth - they definitely care about acquiring new customers.

Well, if my theory is wrong, low end phones like the Samsung A series have microSD slots for a reason.
So the poor customers can install the app since they have an SD card, the rich customers just buy an expensive phone.
This is about an iOS app. The Android app is "OK" at ~200MB.
