Companies I've been in recently have HR wedging themselves in the name of "diversity" because apparently everyone else is too biased. It seems like self-serving power grab to me though.

But with non-technical people doing this, the companies get randos put in the pipeline and interviewing process shifts to "gotta prove you're not a faker or idiot", which I cannot stand.
