The link through to PAS says:

> Publicly Available Specifications have a maximum life of six years, after which they can be transformed into an International Standard or withdrawn.

So is the plan to transform this into a standard after that period? Was a PAS application chosen because (it sounds like) it goes through the standards body quicker? So this gives an intermediate ISO seal of validation until this becomes a full International Standard?
