I've conducted hundreds of tech interviews in the past decade, and I can tell you, it takes roughly 5 minutes to understand if a candidate is a good fit or not.

I have no problem in having candidates using google, ai or whatever to answer technical stuff - if a candidate can write a query, read the results and be able to explain what he just read, he would be an instant hire. It seems that people keep focusing on the wrong skillset; sure, many companies think knowing sort algorithms and binary trees is super important for a CRUD maintenance job, but they forget the most important tech trait - the ability to adapt and evolve; the ability to learn.
