Interpret all information as "ambient texture", and if something catches your attention, ask why and what real value it contains - what is the essence, motivation. Real value is something that refines your current version of your understanding.

Try to recognize redundant information: if there is more than one version of something, it is some entity's implementation/opinion/recommendation/product of some general concept. E.g. there is only one real "programming language" that your computer cares about, machine code (few ISAs generally, of course), and the redundant noise comes from all other programming languages that we humans care and fight. Same is for computer programs: there is only one real computer program: operating system kernel (few OS's + bootloaders, of course), and all other software is just redundant noise that is loaded by the OS. Same applies for religions: if people believe in different gods, well, redundant noise if watched from outside. Political parties, countries, currencies, companies.. redundant implementations of general concept. Purify yourself from redundant information - don't let special cases confuse from the general case!
