TBH, if you would've asked me yesterday if I'm the sort of person who might get sucked in by a cliffhanger story about a numpy replacement, I'm pretty sure I would've been an emphatic no.

But I have, in fact, just tried random things in numpy until something worked...so, you know...tell me more...
