nonsense, no developer wants to use a 9 year old computer, slower processor, slower lower graphics, paltry memory, and Apple also cuts you off from the latest OS long before that.

and even if what you say had a shred of truth, the carbon footprint would still further reduce if they were not user hostile to upgrades.
