It is possible. It is deeply unlikely. As it was with Clever Hans.

Statistically, it is possible for all my atoms to quantum teleport a foot to the left at the same time. It will take mind-bogglingly huge multiples of the length of the universe for it to become even the slightest bit likely.

So the horse reading peoples minds by observing human body language is a high probability outcome?

When you see a fucking horse doing mathematics, it's not unreasonable to think maybe it was doing mathematics.

Like where is your quantitative data and evidence? What are you using to say it's "low probability"? You have no idea how consciousness in humans work. You have no idea how LLMs work. Yet you can just declare a low probability fact out of thin air?

Yes. My wife rides horses; that’s what they do. It’s basically their job, to take little subtle cues from their rider.

    > You have no idea how LLMs work.

As with horses, the people who do agree with me.

    • Right but if the horse turns around and starts talking to your wife and doing quantum mechanics you’re going to not believe it at all because it’s not consistent with your old reality?

There are people who agree with you for sure. But none of these people are experts or specifically work deeply on this stuff in academia. People who truly know and are on the cutting edge of this stuff do not agree with you by an overwhelming majority.

The people who do agree with you at best are applied ML engineers but mostly they are arm chair experts who don’t work deeply with this stuff.
