I follow the general sentiment against interviews with live coding sessions (even worse if they are whiteboards), but the post was sparkled by a completely legit way of screening out fakers: a very simple algorithm (given a list of numbers, return the sum of the even ones) with no judgement on how the code is written. And filtering out fakers is something totally needed, more so nowadays with AI generated resumes. You really need to live also the other side to understand what's going on with many candidates.
