I think there are quite a few more fundamental issues with coding interviews than the fact they are massively influenced by stress. I think the heavy skew towards DSA-type problems is something that tests skills that many people simply don't need.

Ironically, I wrote about this topic (https://loudwhisper.me/blog/code-interview/) months ago when I failed my first -and last - coding interview. The more interesting aspect is that it was not even for a SWE position, but for a platform security engineering position. Honestly, I can't ever imagine being on the hiring side and thinking this is a good use of anybody's time.
