How did you begin to succeed in indie development?
I'm almost 40 and I've always loved programming as a hobby, but I decided to try it professionally last year. I know, I know, not the best timing!
I have an active Github of (what I think are) interesting projects, success in other fields before I tried software development professionally, good communication skills, etc. But my experience with live coding sounds like yours.
So I'm very curious if you have thoughts on the routes to independent contribution where all that matters is being able to do the thing, not signaling ability to do the thing. I know I can do the thing (or I'm confident I can learn how), so I'd rather get paid to do it myself, if that makes sense.
