Just use Bluetooth. These days it's very uncommon for a PC to not have Bluetooth. More of my PCs have Bluetooth than have microphones.

Just use Bluetooth. These days it's very uncommon for a PC to not have Bluetooth. More of my PCs have Bluetooth than have microphones.
Maybe the Bluetooth connection can be used for IP and port discovery.
