the catch is Widevine support if you still want to play videos from commercial sites
all other chromium browsers cannot have signed widevine support?

Firefox doesn't get 4k on netflix or other sites.
Just pirate the content, it's better user experience and respects you.
This is the way.
You could have also run Chrome just for the few sites you play videos from.
