He wasn't selected because of his race. He was selected because he's famous and good at Twitter. It's not that complicated.

Substitute an otherwise identical black guy and he doesn’t win.
Obama won, and he was just a one-term senator without any major achievements and no particularly unique platform. Just because we liked the guy and thought he sounded sincere. I don't agree with you. The vast majority of American voters aren't racist.
And I agree that reality TV fame is an idiotic reason to elect a candidate, btw. But most people (in all parties) are unserious idiots.
