Ask HN: What happens when AI coding crosses the human dev threshold

Following the recent trajectory (one year or so) of AI coding capabilities, in my opinion we are about to cross the boundary where AI applications can, without experienced dev supervision, create software better than human developers. What are your thoughts at this point? Is this going to shake up the industry, causing swathes of small or large software companies to fold? Will it simply be business as usual?
