If Israel disagreed with the ambassador's statements, they would give him a note or call him in for a talking to. Diplomatic discipline is very common if an ambassador misbehaves this badly.
The fact that they did not react to such inflammatory statements strongly indicates that they support them.
What is the job of an ambassador if not to speak for policy?
