Department of War actually isn't official as far as I know. Of course you can call it what you want but I believe an official name change actually requires an act of congress.

I checked wikipedia today. It's not a name change. It's an additional official name. One of many weird things Trump has done.
Fair enough. I'm kind of surprised he didn't rename it to "Department of Trump" or something.
