Haha, I get it. Just took him as an example because, in my experience, he is a famous pianist people recognise even if they don't listen to that kind of music. Maybe Vladimir Horowitz would be a better example.

I think the average person has no idea who either of those people are. I think Liszt or Rachmaninov would be better reference points.
The average person sees a synthesizer keyboard and thinks ”piano”.
As an average person, try Beethoven or Mozart.
Or Bach.
