Unrelated but a little related (semi-shameless plug?)- I made a small weather web-app that also plotted daylight hours as a secondary feature.
Its really weather over the next 12 hours on the primary ring, and day/night transition on the inner.
At last, someone thought of giving the ambient temperature in kelvin
I just give the people what they want
