This reminds me of SABRE preferring American Airlines flights see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sabre_(travel_reservation_syst.... Back in 1984 this "Preferential display" was considered illegal by the US government. How times have changed....

In Europe, it led to the creation of the competing Amadeus system which did not keep display preferences and now dominates the market.
