I predict Cursor will be dead in a year.
Cursor was/is amazing and it made sense to acquire it. I’m sure many organizations like SpaceX were using it and its revenue only had an upward trajectory.
However, it’s been getting worse every day since the acquisition. Making extensions second-class citizens. Making Grok the default and it getting in the way. Thankfully you can still change that, but it’s only a matter of time until you can’t disable Grok. Usage across all models has also been really expensive lately for some reason.
It’s really stupid to fuck up a good thing. Just leave it alone and let it do its thing. Unfortunately, it’s just a matter of time until Cursor alienates their remaining users and Cursor will be an empty shell like Twitter.
Yes but even if SPCX goes to a third of its current value that's still a great exit for what Cursor was.
Obviously you are correct. It's a great exit for Cursor and an amazing success story. I didn't share any thoughts on that topic.
What I did say is the product will eventually go to absolute shit, which is a shame.
