It's a fun myth but Parton and Curry already come fast on the heels of a few recent celebrity deaths: Sam Neill, Bonnie Tyler, Daveigh Chase, Hayden Panettiere, and Lindsay Graham.
Yeah, when you realize this decade and the next, pretty much everyone you grew up whose entertainment you consumed in the 60s-80s, who was an adult then, is coming up... it's a sobering thought.
"Baby Boom + Life Expectancy..." I dread at the idea that some startup is probably in stealth mode, ready to "disrupt funerals" by the end of the year.
(Also, I dread the fact that I know a few boomers that I would actually like to stick around for while...)
Death comes in threes and they were both 80, could be a party soon

Also Frank Beard
^Shelley Fabares.
Sam Neill (78), Bonnie Tyler (75), Daveigh Chase (35), Hayden Pantierre (36), Lindsay Graham (71)
Honestly, if I could make it to 70 I'd say I lived a good life. getting to 80 and outliving my grandpa would be great.
Then I see people barely older than me, who felt like they were just getting started go out way way way too young... and that just terrifies me.
Anyone doing wellness checks on Cher? Mel Brooks? William Shatner?
I think parent (and definitely me) is thinking of a very specific 80-year-old.

Robin Williams broke my perception of a lot of things when he died. I was 27 then, and it's already been a dozen years.
yeah...it's certainly a grounding feeling for me.

I can't tell if I've just been in the bay area too long or what, but honestly, funerals could stand to be disrupted :) They could be better.
RIP Tim.
