Do you know how hard it is to convincingly fabricate economic data? The BLS is under constant public scrutiny. If data fabrication were occurring at the level you seem to think, everybody would know.

Is it convincing? "Everyone" does "know" it's fake, as in the example you replied to, that's an instance of everyone knowing it's fake.
