Off by one letter compared to "Roman", which is a GLP prescriber farm, but you already knew this :). Hoping for a lawsuit to boost your fame?

The truth is a lot less exciting. We got into YC and registered the company name that night, and the domain name was available. The Ro connection was pointed out later. If we are forced to rebrand, we will be more thoughtful.

  • You probably not want this to show up in discovery documents when you do get sued. Pretend you didn't know about it.

  • lmao this comment is going to be pulled up by the plaintiff's lawyers and used to show willful infringement. someone's going to be paying treble + plaintiff's legal fees

seriously though you should probably consult a lawyer about whether to change the name, especially given that you've posed this comment in public

I guess I don’t look at company Wikipedia pages very often but this one seems particularly “written by corporate”.

  • In general yes, but what about this sentence:

    > Reitano's personal experience with a heart condition, and his desire to recreate his father, a doctor, out of software as a hologram, inspired him to co-found the company.
