I commented this only a few days ago on a different LG related thread. What LG are doing is indefensible and we should all vote with our wallets when considering a new TV... but for those who already own an LG TV you really owe it to yourself to jailbreak it and make it "yours", so to speak.

This looks old and outdated if you have anything newer than a tv from 2021 sadly

    The chatter on their Discord leads me to believe there's still a pathway to jailbreaking even on the latest version of webOS. I'm still rocking an older TV so can't verify this myself, but I'd be very surprised if you couldn't still get root on a new TV.
